Using ONLY the homeowner’s things, give the main rooms a fresh look and feel. What a major difference a little rearranging can do when an owner occupied home is redesigned.
The first thing done in rearranging this room was to give it a more balanced feel by flanking the tv with two bookcases from the opposite wall.
That’s a redesign start…..

Redesigned with the only remaining piece in the corner. The center piece was moved into the living room to house the stereo components.

Shelf designing: TV speakers were added to the shelves instead of sitting on the floor.
Staging shelves: Three quarters of the books were packed away.
Remember those “push in the glass and the door opens” entertainment units? The one in the corner was removed.
A cleaner redesigned look.
The art above the mantle was replaced with a bigger piece found elsewhere in the house.
Better proportion between the accessories and room size…… using what the homeowner already has. Mantel remains sparse for Christmas decor.

The sectional was pushed a bit farther back to accommodate the Christmas tree.

With the doors open. These don’t need to be jammed up with crystal glasses and serving pieces. Especially if there is DR storage space.
